#LetHerRun
We are joining Marathon Sports and soundRUNNER's intiative, Let Her Run. The #LetHerRun Women's Safety Campaign was built to help raise awareness for the safety of female runners who run alone are are constantly cat-called, followed, attacked or harrassed while out for a jog. The goal is to help educate our community on how to respect female runners, to refrain from cat-calling, following, attacking, and injuring women. Most importantly, to just let females run!
Women & Family Life Center
Women and Family Life Center (W&FLC) is a non-profit organization located in Guilford, CT that provides resources and education for women and all families in crisis.
Our Guided Assistance Program, Lawyer Time and Financial Consult programs provide information and resources that educate and empower individuals toward achieving financial independence, freedom from violence and harassment, access to safe and affordable housing and a strong, supportive community network of resources.
Last year, W&FLC served 1,071 women and families on the CT Shoreline and has provided over $140,000 in emergency funds to families that have been affected by the pandemic.

CT WaveRunners is supporting the #LetHerRun initiative, a campaign raising awareness for the safety of runners who are cat-called, followed, attacked or harassed. While the campaign focuses on the safety of women, it is important to recognize that runners of all genders, races, shapes and sizes experience some form of harassment while running. The goal is to educate our community members on how to respect runners and to refrain from cat-calling, following and attacking while runners are on the road.
